Frequently Asked Questions

Where are your relief efforts focused?

Currently we are providing relief in the southern part of Afghanistan around Lashkar Gah, the provincial capitol of Helmand province. We have local trusted contacts in this region who are also dedicated to our mission. They help us find the most needy people and help distribute the funds to them.

We operate here because we know some people locally who we trust as good, honest people. Our goal is to maximize the benefit of every donated dollar. This can only be done when you have local people who you trust.

We believe our mission and approach can work anywhere. So as we find others who would like to replicate our efforts in other parts of the world, we will expand to those places or help them set up their own charity there. Ideally, these kinds of efforts would spread to all areas of the world and be run by small groups of dedicated people in a grassroots phenomenon.

What is the process for donation?

Simply click on the Donate Now button on our home page and enter your credit/debit card information. PayPal will process the transaction. We will then send you a receipt email that you can use for claiming the tax deduction.

How much of a donation goes to the poor?

Our goal is to get as much as possible to the poor. Therefore we have minimal employees and the Board of Directors is all voluntary. Even the costs of running this website are donated by the Directors and will not come out of your donation.

How big or small of a donation will help?

The people we are helping are so poor that even the smallest of donations makes a substantial difference in their lives. Even $5 will make a big difference.

Are you a religious of political group?

No. We have no religious or political goals or aspirations. Our only goal is to help poor people escape poverty and become prosperous.
